by these presents that I James McLeod of West River in the county of Pictou Blacksmith, at present of Pictou in said county for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred dollars.

To me in hand well and truly laid by and by me due to Amelia Ann Ives of Pictou aforesaid wife of George D. Ives , Town Clerk, before the unsealing and delivery of these presents the receipt where as hereby acknowledged do hereby grant bargain sell assign transfer and set over unto the said Amelia Ann Ives the executors administrations and assigns all my property real and personal where so ever satiated and all debts sums of money and choses in action  to me due or accruing due or that may hereafter become due to me from the Pictou bank or the liquidations there of or any person or persons whomsoever to have and to hold the same* to her and their sale use benefit and behave forever.

In Witness where of I have here to subscribed my hand and affined my seal on the (words scratched out) first day of may AD.1890

      I James McLeod at present of Pictou in the County of Pictou blacksmith make oath and say:

I am the grantor mentioned in the accompanying bill of sale.  The Amount Set forth there as being the consideration thereof is justly and honestly due and owing by the grantor to the grantee, and the bill of sale was executed in good faith and not for the purpose of protecting the property mentioned there as against the creditors of the grantor or of preventing the creditors of such grantor from obtaining payment of any claims against him.
