Will of Roderick McKenzie, deceased

Certified Copy of Will for Reg of Deeds Pictou

The last Will and Testament of Roderick McKenzie of Big Carriboo Island in the County of Pictou, Farmer.

I give and devise to my son Daniel the lot of land containing about eighty acres Situated at Big Carriboo Island and separated from the farm lot on which I reside by the beach.

I give to my daughter Mary Ann one cow, to daughter Catherine one cow, to daughter Maggie one cow, to daughter Charlotte one cow to be selected for them by the executrix of this will.

I give to my daughter Lizzie one dollar.

I give and devise of my farm lot of two hundred acres or thereabouts on Big Carriboo Island on which I now reside as follows, the eastern half part thereof to my son Finlay Roderick, the western half part thereof t my son Simon Albert the whole to be subject to and changed with the proper support and maintenance of my wife Annie during life or until she remarries again.

The residue of my real and personal property I give and devise to my said sons Finlay Roderick and Simon Albert subject to the payment thereout of all my debts and funeral and Testamentary expenses.

I appoint my wife Annie executrix of this my last Will and Guardian and Trustee of the persons and estate of my said sons Finlay Roderick and Simon Albert until they are twenty one years of age.

I revoke all former will by me at any tie heretofore made.

Witness my hand this 21st. day of March AD 1899.

McLeod Registrar of said Court do hereby certify that the foregoing paper writing is a true copy of the last Will and Testament of Roderick McKenzie late of Big Carriboo Island in the County of Pictou Farmer deceased which said will was duly admitted to Probate in said Court at Pictou on the 20th. day of April AD 1903.
