Estate of Alexander McDonald, late of Pictou Island, Yeoman, deceased, Testate

Copy of Will for the Registrar of Deeds

I Alexander McDonald of Pictou Island in the County of Pictou, Yeoman, being through the believing of God in a sound state of mind and memory   do make this my last Will and testament in manner following that is to say,

I give and bequeath unto my wife Maggie McDonald the west half of my farm and half the stock, and

the other half to my two sisters Cassie McDonald and Maggie McDonald until my son and infant now comes of age, the other half of the stock and also the household furniture and farming implements half and half.

Also I bequeath unto my Aunt Catherine McDonald who is aged her living from both parties, during her natural life.

I also appoint as my executors Daniel McDonald, my brother, and Hector McDonald to this my last Will and testament.

In witness whereof I, the said Alexander McDonald have hereunto my hand and Seal Subscribed and Set this twentieth day of November in the year of our Lord One thousand Eight hundred and ninety seven.

I do hereby certify that the foregoing instrument consisting of one page, is an exact and literal copy of the last Will and Testament of Alexander McDonald, late of Pictou Island in the County of Pictou, Farmer, deceased, Testate, which has been duly filed and admitted to Probate in accordance with the practice of the Court.

Given under my hand at Pictou, this 26th day of July A.D. 1898.
