Estate of Donald Ross late of Middle River, Farmer, deceased, Testate

Copy of Will for the Registrar of Deeds

I, Donald Ross of Middle River, in the County of Pictou, Farmer, do hereby make, publish and declare this my last Will and Testament.

1st. I will and bequeath to my beloved wife Mary Ross all my real and personal Estate of every nature and kind and wheresoever situated, for her own absolute use during her natural life, and at her death, if nay of the said Estate remain unsold or undisposed by her for her own use, the same to go to my sister Nancy McDermid now in Scotland, and failing her to my next of kin.

2nd. I direct that my Executors hereinafter named shall out of my Estate erect over my grave a suitable tombstone.

3rd. I lastly hereby nominate and appoint Allan Ferguson, and John D. McDonald both of Pictou Town the Executors of this my last Will and testament, hereby revoking all former Wills by me made or executed.

In witness whereof I have hereto my hand and Seal subscribed and Set this thirtieth day of October A.D. 179.
