Description
Stone home of David Lowden built in 1803. The home is also known as Seaforth and Beaches Manor. The front of the house is original, the kitchen at the back, made of wood, was added later.
This photograph was part of an award winning exhibit created by Professor Nicholls for a competition of the 1978 Joseph Howe Festival in Halifax. Professor Nicholls intention was to show Pictou Town as it would have appeared c 1830.
