Copy of Will for the Registrar of Deeds

Know all men by these presents that I Murdoch McKay of Sutherland’s River in the County of Pictou and Province of Nova Scotia, Farmer, being of sound and disposing mind ad memory do make and publish this my last Will and testament.

First, I order that all my lawful debts be paid.

Second, I give and bequeath to Catherine McKay my sister who resides with me all my real and personal property containing every things I own.

Third, I order that my name be engraved on the monument in the graveyard or cemetery and all the expenses of burying, and all the expenses occurring in the fulfilment of theses presents, be taken from my personal property.

Fourth. I appoint as Executors respectively of this my Will and Testament, James Ross Esqr. Of Sutherland’s river, and Catherine McKay my sister.

In witness whereof I have hereunto my hand & Seal Subscribed and Set, this nineteenth day of November Anno Domini 1888.
