Estate of Daniel McLeod late of Plymouth, Farmer, deceased, Testate
Copy of Will for the Registrar of Deeds
The last Will and testament of Daniel McLeod of Plymouth in the County of Pictou, Farmer, made this Eighteenth day of April A.D. 1894. (The name Daniel McLeod is written as Daniel McLean)
I Daniel McLeod being infirm of bodily health but of sound disposing mind and memory and fully conscious of the uncertainty of human life do hereby make and publish this my last Will and testament,
First. I devise that my body be decently interred, my spirit I consign to the God who gave it.
Second. I give devise and bequeath unto my beloved wife Catherine the house and homestead owned and occupied by me, together with all the lands and premises, also the stock consisting of two horses and four cows at present, if any addition be made during my life such is also devised to my said wife also all farming implements household furniture, or other personal property, of every kind to her personal use, benefit and behoof forever.
Third. I order that my said wife shall defray all personal expenses out of my estate, and pay all my legal debts, and that the residue shall be utilized for the maintenance of herself and the children now composing the inmates, in the manner deemed best by my said wife, with such means as may be at her disposal having every confidence in her management and guidance of the household, I also desire that at her death, any property then remaining may be disposed of as she deems proper, and devised to such as she may consider most worthy of the same, to this my last will and testament I hereby subscribe my hand and Seal in the presence of each other, saw the same duly executed.

I do hereby certify that the foregoing instrument consisting of one page and part of a page, is an exact and literal copy of the last Will and Testament of Daniel McLeod, late of Plymouth in the County of Pictou, Farmer, deceased, Testate, which has been duly filed and admitted to Probate in accordance with the practice of the Court.
Given under my hand at Pictou this 8th. day of May A.D. 1895.
