Estate of Alexander McNeil late of Merigomish, Farmer, deceased, Testate

Copy of Will for the Registrar of Deeds

I Alexander McNeil of West Merigomish, County of Pictou, Province of Nova Scotia, do make and declare this my last Will & Testament.

1St. I will and bequeath to my beloved daughter Annie Macdonald, during the term of her natural life, one acre of land, bounded equilaterally on the main post road to the north, on the line fence between my farm and that of John Macdonald to the east, and by lines to be hereafter made on the west and South.

2nd. I bequeath to my beloved daughter Elizabeth Meagher the sum of twenty dollars.

3rd. I bequeath to my beloved wife Agnes during the term of her natural life, the bedroom which opens into the kitchen of my house at Merigomish, the bedroom on the second floor which is at the northeast angle of said house, the use and privilege of the other rooms and Kitchen in common with my son William the exclusive use and benefit of one Cow and five sheep, and generally her respectable maintenance, in a manner beseeching her condition in life.

4th. I bequeath will and devise to my beloved son William his heirs and assigns forever, my farm at Merigomish aforesaid, with the appurtenances, saving and except what is hereinbefore otherwise bequeathed.

5th. I further bequeath unto my said son William all and singular the rest of my estate, real and personal that I now own or my own at the time of my death, to hium his heirs and assigns forever,

And I hereby appoint him the Sole executor of this my last Will and testament.

I do hereby certify that the foregoing instrument consisting of one page, is an exact and literal copy of the last Will and Testament of Alexander McNeil, late of West Merigomish in the County of Pictou, Farmer, deceased, Testate, which has been duly filed and admitted to Probate in accordance with the practice of the Court.
