Will of Alex R Stewart, deceased

Certified Copy of Will for Reg of Deeds Pictou

I , Alexander R. Stewart of Westville in the County of Pictou and Province of Nova Scotia, miner, being of sound and disposing mind and memory, do make and publish this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former Wills and Testamentary dispositions heretofore at any time by me made.

I do nominate and appoint my friend Reverend Robert Cumming to be the executor of my Will.

I hereby instruct my said executor to pay all my just debts funeral and Testamentary expenses as soon as possible after my decease.

I hereby direct my aforesaid executor to have a suitable monument erected for my late beloved wife and my deceased daughter and myself.

I hereby give and bequeath to Carmel Church of which I am a member twenty-five dollars.

I hereby give and bequeath to Mary McDonald, wife of my brother-in-law Alexander McDonald of Sydney Cape Breton Two hundred dollars ($200.00).

I hereby give and bequeath to my beloved son Leonard G. Stewart all the rest and residue of my property real estate and personal property of which I may die possessed.

In witness whereof I the testator have hereunto set my hand seal this sixth day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and twelve.

I John D. McLeod Registrar of said Court do hereby certify that the foregoing paper writing is a true copy of the last Will and Testament of Alexander R. Stewart late of Westville in the County of Pictou Miner deceased which said will was duly admitted to Probate in said Court at Pictou on the 10^th. day of July AD 1912.
