John Ross Letter

Description

“John U. Ross
Barrister, Solicitor &c.
Pictou, N.S.
April 4, 1914.

Mr. Eben McLeod,

            West River, N.S.

Dear Sir: –

It was not until this week that I had the opportunity to visit the Crown Land Office, and make the enquiry you requested concerning the vacant lot. I am enclosing you rough sketch, and have indicated by the cross (x) lots that appears to be vacant. There are situated immediately on the South and West of the Eight Mile Brook, at its point of junction with the West River. There also appears to be a small triangular lot across the brook, and at the same point of junction.

If you care to call, I can show you the sketch, but I will probably be away from home, the early part of next week.

                                                                                                Yours truly,

                                                                                                John Ross”

The sketch includes the road that leads to Six Mile Brook and Eight Mile Brook, the road to Halifax, R.M. Pope’s farm, and West River.
