This indenture made at mill Brook Middle River, County of Pictou Province of Nova Scotia, this twenty day of June in the year of our Lord One Thousand eight hundred and fifty six, between Hugh Cameron West River, and Jessie Ann his wife of the one part, and Donald MacDonald of Mill Brook, Middle River, aforesaid of the other part, witnessed that the said Hugh Cameron and Jessie Ann his wife for and in consideration of the sum of fourteen pounds and ten shillings lawful money of Nova Scotia to them in hand paid by the said Donald McDonald at or before the ensealing and delivering of these presents the receipt whereof hereby acknowledged, Have and each of them Hath remised, released, and forever quitted claim, and by these presents, Do and each of the, Doth remise, release and forever quit claim unto the said Donald MacDonald, his heirs and assigns forever a certain piece or parcel tract of land owned by the late Thomas McDonald situate, lying and being at Mill Brook, Middle River in the County of Pictou aforesaid, which said lot is abutted and bounded on the East by lands belonging to Donald McLeod, on the South by lands belonging to Widow Rofs, on the West by lands belonging to Robert McKay and on the North by land belonging to Thomas McLeod, containing one hundred acres more or less. To have and to hold the above described lands and premises, with the appurtenances unto the said Donald McDonald his Heirs and Assigned forever to their sole use, benefit and behalf in as full and ample a manner as they the said Hugh Cameron and Jessie Ann his wife possessed the same.
