Description
Bea MacIsaac in her backyard by a Japanese silk lilac tree, which was planted in the 1930s. The tree was later featured in the Chronicle Herald (and local papers) in 2004 when it bloomed and grew at a fast rate following Hurrican Juan. The hurricane knocked down a neighbouring tree that was shading the lilac, effectively stunting its growth. The tree is still on the property as of 2017.
Bedford's Motel on West River Road is in the background.
