Mrs. Jennie Innis
SCOTSBURN, Nov. 16 — On Friday, Nov. 12 the funeral of the late Mrs. Jennie Innis was held from her long-time home in the Black River district. Mrs. Innis was over eighty years of age. She was the daughter of the late Wm. MacKenzie and Mary (MacDonald) MacKenzie of Four Mile Brook. She is survived by one brother, Mr. George MacKenzie of West Branch, River John; by one son, Mr. William D Innis of East Branch, and by five daughters — Mrs. A. H. MacMaster, of Seafoam; Mrs. Luther L. Ruggles, of Windsor, Vermont; Mrs. John L. Cameron, of River John; Mrs. Irvin R. Lecrani, of Marblehead, Mass., and Mrs. Daniel Johnson of Hodson.
The funeral service was conducted by Rev. H. McA. Griffiths, of Scotsburn and West Branch, who spoke feelingly of the patience and faith in Jesus Christ which Mrs. Innis had manifested during her time of suffering. He described the last communion which had been giving to Mrs. Innis at her own wish only a month before she passed to be with Christ. Mrs. Innis will be remembered and missed by her many friends, all of whom held her in high esteem and affection.
