Description
An article from page 1 of the Pictou Advocate, 20 October 1916.
The ladies of the town are busy these days preparing one of the most original entertainments ever presented the pleasure-seekers of Pictou. They have chosen Halloween for the, and this unique entertainment is styled "The Witches' Frolic." The object is to raise a sufficient sum to enable them to send to every Pictou boy now serving overseas a useful Xmas gift. The spacious railway station hall has been secured, and by the kindness of Manager Gravestock the opera house orchestra will present and discourse the latest patriot music for the occasion. We speak for them a bumper house and feel confident that every patriotic citizen will do his or her share towards making this laudable entertainment a grand success.
