68th Anniversary

Mr. and Mrs. John G. English, Abercrombie, shown above, celebrated the 68th Anniversary of their wedding day on Tuesday, October 3rd. Mrs. English now in her ninety-fourth year and Mr. English at ninety-one, are both well and quite smart.  They had a very enjoyable family gathering in the evening.  There were the sons, Mr. Harry and Mr. Nelson English, at home.  Mr. George English and his wife, New Glasgow, and the two daughters, Mrs. Agnes Davidson, Carriboo, and Mrs. A. R. Campbell and her husband, New Glasgow.  The other son, Mr. Colin English, is in Revelstoke.  He has been home on two short visits within the past year or so.  They also had the pleasure of having some of their grandchildren with them and a few close friends from Pictou came to extend their felicitations.  Mr. and Mrs. English are a fine old couple and they have a host of friends who will be interested in hearing that they marked another milestone in their happy life together and who will wish to add their congratulations and good wishes.
