Description

Colin Seaforth MacKenzie was the son of John Roderick and Annie MacKenzie of Rogers Hill, Pictou County. He died as a deputy sherriff while tracking an oulaw fugitive, John Tornow. He and another duputy were lured and ambushed by Tornow and killed in cold blood in March 1912 at Wynochee, Grays Harbor County, Washington. He is buried with his brothers at Vancouver, Briitish Columbia.
