Duncan and John McMaster

Description

Duncan McMaster born 21 April 1847 to Samuel and his second wife, Catherine Henderson.

John McMaster was born in 1842 to Samuel and his first wife, Margaret McDonald McMaster.

Sam had eight children with Margaret who died in 1845. Sam married Catherine 5 May 1846 and had two more sons with her, Duncan and Samuel Junior.

Sam McMaster died at the age of 50 on 27 September 1850. His son, Samuel Junior was born 26 April 1851, eight months after his death.

Duncan McMaster married Katherine Ann Pope of Prince Edward Island. Duncan and Katherine lived at Waterside, Pictou County, NS and raised their children, Henry Pope, Samuel Cole, Elizabeth Grant, Alfred Edward and adopted daughter Florence Catherine.

John McMaster married Annie Holmes of River John. They lived in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin. Their children were: George, Sam, Hugh, Irvin, Maggie, Jessie, and Laura.
