George Ives 1770-1862

Description

George Ives (1770-1862) is the father of William Ives (1808-1880) and is the son of John Ives 1740-1782. John was a drummer in the 82'nd Regiment and received a grant of 100 acres at Fishers Grant. He was a native of Nottingham, England but later moved to Northern Ireland and married there until emigrating to Halifax. He died in Halifax, leaving his grant to his 12 year old son George.
