Will of John Grant, Deceased
Certified Copy for Reg of Deeds
I john Grant of Scotch Hill in the County of Pictou Farmer do make publish and declare this my last will and Testament hereby revoking and making void all wills by me heretofore made.
First- I will and bequeath to my son George A Grant my clock now in my dwelling and also the portrait of his Grandfather and Grandmother Grant
Second - I will and bequeath to my son James W Grant my Silver watch and the portrait of his Grandfather and Grandmother Blackie.
Third - I will devise and bequeath all the rest and residue of my personal property and all my real property to my beloved wife Jane Grant for her sole use during the term of her natural life
Fourth - . I will devise and bequeath to my son Isaac E. Grant all my real and personal property so devised to my said wife or whatever may remain at her death subject however to the right of my said wife therein as above set forth in the third paragraph hereof and subject to the following conditions and provisions, that is to say that comfortable maintenance and support of my daughter Emma Grant during her natural life and failing that the control of one quarter of the above mentioned property, the payment of the sum of twenty five dollars in cash to my daughter Ella Jane Grant, another payment to my daughter Mary Catherine Grant of the sum of Dollars to same to be paid in Cash or in farm products during her mother's life time or afterwards at the option of the said Mary Catherine Grant my daughter
Fifth - I nominate and appoint Jane and Isaac the executors of this my last Will and Testament
In Witness Whereof I have hereunto my hand Subscribed this Twenty third day of March A.D., 1901.

I John D. McLeod Registrar of said Court do hereby certify that the foregoing paper writing is a true copy of the last Will and Testament of John Grant late of Scotch Hill in the County of Pictou Farmer deceased which said will was duly admitted to Probate in said Court at Pictou on the 10th day of December AD 1901.
Witness my hand at Pictou aforesaid this 10th.day of December AD 1901.
